Cambodia's Rubber Exports Down 1.3% Y/Y in 2023

Cambodia exported 368,048 tons of rubber in 2023, down 1.3 percent from 372,903 tons in the same period of 2022, according to the latest report from the General Directorate of Rubber of Cambodia.

The country earned $490.6 million from the export of rubber last year, down 7 percent from $527.6 million in the same period in 2022, the report said; the average cost of exports was $1,333 per ton, down about $82 in the same period.

The country's rubber is mainly exported to Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.

As of today, Cambodia has a total of 407,172 hectares of rubber plantations, of which 320,184 hectares or 78.6% are harvestable
