According to the Malaysian Department of Statistics (DOS) on January 12, November 2023 exports of tenax increased by 1% year-on-year to 51,437 tons, down 8.9% from the previous month. Of which 48.3% exported to China, the other in order of Germany 8.9%, Iran 5.7%, the United States 4%, Pakistan 2.8%.
In November, Malaysia's import volume of 110,486 tons of natural rubber, an increase of 11.3% year-on-year, an increase of 18.4% from the previous year. Standard rubber, concentrated latex, and other shapes of natural rubber were the main import categories, with Thailand, Côte d'Ivoire, the Philippines, and Myanmar as their main import source countries.
Total monitorable natural rubber production in November was 30,669 tons, up 9.3% year-on-year and down 6.9% from a year earlier. Small plantation production accounted for 85.3% of the total, while state-owned plantations accounted for 14.7%.
Malaysia's natural rubber stocks in November was 172,335 tons, an increase of 13.2%, down 10.9% year-on-year. Among them, 89.8% of the inventory is concentrated in the hands of rubber processors, downstream terminal inventory accounted for 10.1%, large plantation owners inventory accounted for 0.1%.
Total domestic consumption of tenax in November fell 11.7% year-on-year to 25,096 tons, down 6.3% from a year earlier. The latex glove industry remains the mainstay of Malaysia's tenpin consumption, accounting for 69.2% of consumption, 9.2% of tire and hose consumption, 9.9% of rubber thread, and 11.7% of other industries.
